Shepherd’s Hearth Nightingale : Evie

Evie is the most gentle, sweet girl you’ll ever meet. She absolutely loves people, and is very tuned in to anyone around her and is eager to please and learn new skills. Evie is naturally very calm and laid back with exceptionally good manners, and stays centered in new environments.

She’s up for anything as long as her people are there—happy to go on long hikes and adventures, and when it’s time to relax at home she settles easily and isn’t hyper or high strung. She gets along well with other dogs, and loves other animals, especially any baby, keeping careful watch over all baby chicks, kittens and ducklings. Keeping watch over our flock of chickens is her favorite pastime, and there’s lots of herding in her background. She’s very healthy, clear for MDR1 and only carrying one copy of CEA, and is fully registered with the Old Time Scotch Collie Association. Full pedigree and more here.

Duncan

More than just a pretty face, this handsome boy is loving, biddable and calm. He is a “velcro dog” in the best way, not anxious at all but staying close to his people and checking in regularly to see if there’s any job for him. He is extremely loving, calm and outgoing. One of his favorite jobs is conducting pet therapy at a local nonprofit for folks with autism; where he spreads love an joy to adults and children alike, never getting over-excited or forgetting his manners, no matter who he interacts with. I can trust Duncan anywhere we go to be gentle, attentive and obedient. He’s great with other dogs, cats, goats and chickens; with a laid back manner and a “tending” style of herding, not pushing or driving. Duncan is from an intentional outcrossing to bring in greater diversity to the Old Time Scotch Collie gene pool—his sire is registered OTSC Hamish of Windrush Farm, and his dam is Nell, an English Shepherd with a sweet demeanor and a natural bobtail that Duncan inherited. He is in great health, and only carries one copy of MDR-1. Full pedigree and more information here.
